EuroPLEx 2019 Workshop
Parma 17-20 September 2019
We will have talks introducing the main research areas of EuroPLEx and the current status of the field.
Our partners will present their activities and describe the internship opportunities they will provide.
Academic partners will sketch an overview of experimental programs in Particle Physics, presenting their research objectives.
Where
The workshop will take place at Centro S. Elisabetta, inside the Parma University Campus (HowToGetThere).
All the Hotels are easy to reach; you take the buses getting to/departing from the Campus (7 or 21) and you get off at Via Mazzini/Piazza Ghiaia (7/21; Button, Toscanini), Railway Station (7/21; Du Parc), Piazzale S. Croce (7; Daniel). Timetables are available here.
When
The workshop will start on Sept 17 at 15:00 and it will end on Sept 20 at 13:00
What
The program is available. Talks that will be delivered will be uploaded to the indico pages: we will do it for you, so e-mail Francesco.
On Sept 18, late in the afternoon (17:00), the fellows will meet.
On Sept 19, early in the afternoon (14:00), meetings will take place of the Supervisory Board and of the Training Board.
The second half of Sept 19 afternoon will be dedicate to social activities. A bus will pick us up at 16:30 and take us at the Labirinto della Masone. We will then move to 12 monaci restaurant, where the social dinner will take place (vegetarian options are available; please have a look at the menu: at some point you will be required to make your choices).
Please notice: coffe breaks and the social dinner are paid from EuroPLEx common pocket; lunch can be purchased at the campus cafeteria; for the visit to the Labirinto you are required to pay cash.
